Assignment 5 - Precedence

This assignment called for us to research precedence that would help guide our projects and could apply to our projects for the remainder of the semester.

I had advanced my project into a built idea as an open-air ticketing office for the variety of transportation that will take place in an area where a new bayou (used for transportation) will be errected. It will be a building meant for mix use development from recreation to a transit hub.

Assignment 4

Assignment 4 was a long one!

It was the investigation and discovery of the question that would drive our design ideas and solutions we would create for the city.

My project continued to ask the question of, "Can we create or use a bayou to eliviate or minimize traffic congenstion and flooding?"

Assignment 3 - Group Project

As a class, the assignment called for us to break down the city into its components and illustrate those components using ArcGIS programs. We divided the city into three main components: land use, water, and transportation systems. We divided the class into smaller teams of three to tackle each component. Transportation was the section I studied and here are the group efforts. The PDF are pages that will go into an introduction of a book developed by and for the class and the powerpoint is how we presented.

Assignment Objective:
• Establish a graphic vocabulary which represents critical elements of the city
• Utilize GIS software to develop primary graphics for reinterpretation
• Understand the relationship between analysis and representation within a graphic system
• Explore precedent to support research
