Assignment 3 - Group Project

As a class, the assignment called for us to break down the city into its components and illustrate those components using ArcGIS programs. We divided the city into three main components: land use, water, and transportation systems. We divided the class into smaller teams of three to tackle each component. Transportation was the section I studied and here are the group efforts. The PDF are pages that will go into an introduction of a book developed by and for the class and the powerpoint is how we presented.

Assignment Objective:
• Establish a graphic vocabulary which represents critical elements of the city
• Utilize GIS software to develop primary graphics for reinterpretation
• Understand the relationship between analysis and representation within a graphic system
• Explore precedent to support research
